===== Print from Os X (Apple Mac) =====
  - Connect the laptop to **public-epfl** wireless (you MUST insert your wireless login/password on the authentication page)
  - Open the **System Preferences** application and select **Print & Fax**
  - On the **Printing** panel, select the **+** to add a new printer
  - On the new window, select the **IP Printer** Icon
  - In **Protocol** row, select //Internet Printing Protocol - IPP//
  - In **Address** row, insert **melpomene.epfl.ch**
  - In **Queue** row, you have to insert the name of the printer (refer to tables below) prefixed by **/printers/**
  - in **Name** row, insert the name you want for the printer
  - in **Location** row, insert the location of the printer, if you want
  - in **Print Using** row, select the correct Manufacturer of the printer and then the model of the printer (refer to table above)
  - click the button Add
  - on the new windows you have to insert the options for the printers (refer to table below)
  - click the button Continue
  - you can print.

===== Print from MS Windows XP =====
  - Connect the laptop to **public-epfl** wireless (you MUST insert your wireless login/password on the authentication page)
  - Click on Start
  - From the menu select __Settings__ -> __Printer and Faxes__
  - Click on __Add Printer__, to start the Add Printer Wizard
  - Click on Next
  - Select the bullet **A network printer, or a printer...**
  - Click on Next
  - Select the bullet **Connect to a printer on the Internet...**
  - In the **URL:** insert: **http://melpomene.epfl.ch:631/printers/<name of printer>**(look at the table below for the correct printer name)
  - Click on Next
  - Select the Manufacturer: **HP**
  - Select the model: e.g. **HP LaserJet 4000 Series PS**
  - Click on Next
  - Answer **No** to the __Default Printer__ request
  - Click on Next
  - Click on Finish

===== Print from Linux =====
  - Connect the laptop to **public-epfl** wireless (you MUST insert your wireless login/password on the authentication page)
  - Open the Browser (Firefox, Konqueror, Mozilla, Netscape, ...)
  - Insert the address **http://127.0.0.1:631** in the Location Bar
  - If asked enter the root password
  - Select the **Administration** Tab
  - Click on **Add Printer**
  - In **Name** row insert the name you want for the printer
  - In **Location** row insert the location of the printer, if you want
  - In **Description** ....
  - Click on **Continue**
  - Select **Internet Printing Protocol (ipp)** from the pull down menu
  - Click on **Continue**
  - In the Device URI insert\\ **http://melpomene.epfl.ch:631/printers/<name of printer>** (look at the table below for the correct printer name)
  - Click on **Continue**
  - Select HP from **Make**
  - Click on **Continue**
  - Select the printer model from the menu list
  - Click on **Continue**
  - If asked insert the root password in the dialog box
  - Select the options for the printers (refer to table below)
  - click the button **Set Printer Options**
  - you can print.
